Destroyed For Good
- Destroyed For Good.
When your prayers stop being about what your flesh can gain from the world, and start being about what your eternal soul can gain from the kingdom of God, then you’re fit for the kingdom of God and for restoration. And know for a fact that God cannot be deceived, and so our desire for Gods righteousness must be from a pure heart, not a greedy one. For today many people battle the devil, not because they want to possess their holiness or purity, but because they want to material possessions or restoration some material possessions.
This is why when God allows the devourer, God allows him to devour perfectly. God allows the devil hold two of your portions. The one that is yours of earth, and the one that is yours of heaven. He then sees which one you fight for. For he looks to earth though he respects God, knows not God and cares not for Him; for all he desires of God are on earth, but he who looks to the heavens knows God and is His friend; for that which he desires of God is seated in the heavens. Therefore by your requests shall your faithfulness truly be revealed. Whether you loved God for his wealth or his personality. For a rich man’s true friends are revealed in time of his adversity. So after your loss and lowliness, if in your period of restoration, it appears as though you’ve become earthly promoted and progressive, but without an increased knowledge of God working in you, it may very well be because heaven has given you up to your vain illusions.
Therefore when we pray, we must with genuine hearts pray to possess our righteousness instead. We must pray to possess our innocence instead. Not for strength for our bodies. Not for qualities and constructs of the worldly life. But qualities of the spirit which matter to God. For when the devil robs, he doesn’t just steal the material, but desires to take the spiritual virtues as well — so that it is evidently seen in you and by you. What then you cry out to God for from there on reveals whether it is the things of the kingdom of God that matter to you or the things of the world. This is what Christ meant when he said we as a people plundered should seek first the kingdom of God and all of His righteousness first and like Job’s restoration, everything else would freely be added; along with celebratory praise of the quality of your honor and an assurance of the salvation of your soul.
Job throughout his plundered season showed to God and his accuser what mattered to him, by clinging fast to his innocence, righteousness and spiritual honor that the thief was also trying to steal away along with his earthly possessions. When Job prayed, he didn’t ask for cattle or children or food; he asked for God. Sadly, this is not the case with many people in their plundered seasons today. They instead pray for a restoration of everything earthly they’ve lost or the punishment of their enemies, rather than crave God’s presence and His righteousness. They crave the deliverance of the earthly element, rather than the birth of the spiritual elements. And even when they chase holiness, they do it, not because they purely desire it, but because they see it as a means to an end — a ticket to God’s material blessings. And because of their misplaced attention and blindness towards the matters of their soul, God resists them in His faithfulness for however long He can, hoping they’ll understand that faithfulness is not truly in their hearts.
But the soul who shall like Job, cling to his godly and spiritual attributes as opposed to his earthly comforts, fills up in his cries for deliverance, prayers for the restoration of his innocence, virtues and goodness. For he clearly see by the workings of the thief and destroyer, his earthly constructs going bad, moving towards the left; but also sees his soul going bad, moving towards the right. At that moment, all of heaven watches him to see towards which direction he runs, whether to the right or the left; for that proves whether he rejoiced in God because he loved God or because he was using God. For out of the prayer of his mouth shall his faith be justified or his accuser be triumphant.
It is true that God desires to bless us materially, He made everything! But God esteems more the salvation and innocence of the soul; for who is called a friend of God who God shall not desire to be with? For God has said He shall dwell amongst them and they shall be His people. If then the requirements of divine friendship aren’t found in us because of our material loves, should not God out of loving devotion show Himself a faithful friend, even when His friend isn’t faithful? This is why God allows tests sometimes; not so we could lose our earthly goodies, but so we could purify our spiritual eyes and gain what is everlastingly good, by correcting the matters of our heart.
Therefore if we suffer earthly loss but gain eternal riches, hasn’t God shown Himself faithful to us by prospering the destroyer’s hand? For you weren’t wickedly given into the hand of the destroyer who indeed wanted to destroy with evil intent.. no, God allowed the destroyer destroy for good.
