Seeds That Fall

The antichrist’s work is one which has destroyed many a Christian’s faith. It is not one however which denies one of divinity or spirituality. In fact, it allows that you fill yourself with all those things. What it hates is that you find divinity in Jesus; and all it seeks is that you experience it anywhere else. The dwelling of the antichrist in a man’s life begins with a seed. And the cracking of that seed begins with a thirst for knowledge — extra biblical knowledge to be exact. The thirst seems innocent because you think it’s just knowledge and knowledge is good. But it’s not just knowledge, and it’s no ordinary thirst. It’s a thirst with a purpose! Furthermore it’s no ordinary mind such knowledge is coming into. It is a mind that has been awoken by faith. Such minds are open to all seeds. Even more, the nutrients of the land of such minds is the power that commands belief itself! A power that has been given to it by Faith, the power of God. And so once the antichrist spirit leads you to feeding on the wrong knowledge, it begins to work with what you’ve assimilated to plant and grow doubt and pride against your most holy faith.

In truth however, the knowledge of the antichrist is one which appeals to everyone who has grown tired of waiting for God. It appeals to everyone who has grown tired of hoping in Christ. The antichrist spirit is a nagging one. It creates mental torture. And not just any torture, but torture against the vegetations of God in your mind. It’s a spirit which appeals to your logic in the craftiest ways possible. It is a spirit which fuels and appeals to your traumas in the craftiest ways possible. It’s a spirit which craftily appeals to your hopes in order to kill your most sacred hope. It is a spirit which motivates you to do something you’ve been wanting to do, but have been faithful enough not to. It tells you that you create your own hope! It tells to take your life into your own hands. It tells you to forget God. It tells you that Jesus is your limitation. It tells you that there’s no one anywhere coming to save you. It tells you to make your own way. It tells you to drop the senseless faith which denies you your right to take your life into your own hands. It tells you that the God you seek is yourself. It tells you to read the Bible with your brain, not with your lazy attitude. It tells you to free yourself from this mental bondage and to enjoy your life while you can.

Indeed it’s a spirit which fashions thoughts utterly convincing with every form of its argument. However, what the fool who is to be captured would fail to realize is that it is this very same spirit who has been fervently attacking certain aspects of his life. Eating at his hopes a little more, day by the day; waiting for the perfect time of weakness to come, so that it may then step in as an angel of light and logic; who has come to save the prisoner of hope from throwing his life away by clinging onto senseless faith.

This of course happens all in the mind. It’s a battle of thoughts. The mind is first weakened by confusion, then the desire is stirred up in the Christian’s spirit to forsake the faith altogether. And in all this, the fool whose faith is to be captured is never discerning enough to realize that it’s the subtle work of the antichrist against the Christian faith.

The antichrist spirit is real though. It wounds you constantly. It knows what pillars in your life are most trembling. It seeks to control your interpretations of all situations. It seeks to alter the explanations of the fruits and realities of the faith. It seeks to cause you to doubt God. It stirs up in you, the most violent of lusts. It is a spirit always watching you; and so it knows of your most precious desires, and how more controllable they make you. It has experience with the men of faith, and knows quite well how some love to explain their reasons for indulging in certain pursuits just to ease their beating conscience.

And so mercilessly, it stirs up your lusts! And then when lust is stirred, it stirs up your pride! You grow a little blinded by the lusts you just must have. Then it subtly permits you to remember your righteousness. It permits your mind in the heat of lust to behold the laws of God. Just so it can wound you with shame. And if shame does not work on you, then it ensures that your heart grows a little bit hardened. It makes you aware that your choice to indulge is an open witness for all of heaven to see. You can’t deny it. You’re awake. You beheld the law, but your lust still violently moves in you.

Somewhere down the line the spirit of pride seeks to harden you with prideful thoughts: “I could have what I want. I could do what I want! Why should anyone deny me my own pleasures.”

A little you begin to hate the rule of God. A little you desire to put the awareness of God in your mind to death. A little you desire to own your life. Bringing a little and a little more damage, this crafty spirit uses the same techniques. Some days you fall — in thought or deed; and it’s clear for you to see. Other days you stand strong. Persistently the antichrist spirit keeps coming at you with the most pleasant of your desires. If fighting a losing battle, you begin to hate the fruits of faith. This demonic spirit tries to change your new life in Christ into something which one must flee from. So that where the righteousness of God was once grease to your life, it has begun to feel burdensome to your mind.

The antichrist spirit watches over the progress of his work of weakening your faith. If the light of hope is still in your heart, he knows. For it desires to cause you to hate yourself by destroying every aspect of your life in God. If the hope in you is by the Spirit of God, he knows. When he perceives your soul to be frustrated in the flesh, he plays the good guy — appealing to the comforts of your flesh, he tells you that you’d be better of without God. He does this when he’s sure that Your old man has become more appealing to you than Christ in you. The antichrist spirit acknowledges the truth of your heart more than your shame would permit you to. He tells you that your conscience is what is holding you back from living a rich life. He tells you that you need to let it go. What he doesn’t tell the fool whose faith is about to be captured is that his conscience is the greatest sign of the light that he has become in Christ.

With thoughts, the antichrist speaks to you. The ignorant Christian thinks them his own. The antichrist even causes you to feel his own emotions. And you’d imagine they’re yours if you’re ignorant. He tries to get you to accept emotional suffering; so that you may be driven by your emotions into making bad decisions. He tries to enslave your mind to the flesh once again. The antichrist knows that he couldn’t do a thing to put out the light of God in you. And so he tries subtly and/or outrightly to get you to do it yourself. He tries to appeal by deceiving knowledge. He sets you on a mission of finding antichrist seeds that could destroy the garden of God in your mind. And then if you’re to be captured, like a sheep about to be slaughtered, you follow. Not discerning that this is not the spirit of Christ which leads you. It is not the freedom of Christ that this spirit is claiming to give you.

When you’ve gone out to amass the wrong knowledge, he perverts your understanding. Through the influence of this serpentine spirit, you accept an understanding that permits you to be free from the aspects of God’s kingdom. The deceiving spirit permits your mind to be free from the righteous conscience. Your flesh cooperates wholeheartedly with this demon-father because it doesn’t want to die. But you who are reborn of the spirit of God know the truth in your heart. If however you’re on the wrong side of this writing, then you’ve tasted again through the flesh, how it feels to be free of God’s rule. You’ve nourished the thought, and so the antichrist leaves you to yourself to pervert the wisdom of God in you. He doesn’t want to be the one to do it. He wants you to answer for yourself. He only tempts you fervently. He leaves you to choose your own disobedience. He leaves you to interpret the scriptures using your desires — the desire to be free of the consciousness of God.

And just as Lucifer who once bore the light perverted his wisdom, he nudges you to pervert the light of wisdom in you. You know the pure will of God, but you’re tired of what state it keeps you in. You desire to run with the world. You don’t just want to watch, you want to act! You’re tired of being ignored by the world because the world thinks you lost the “vibe.” Know however that these thoughts of tiredness come from the deceiving spirit who works hidden in your mind to alter your godly perspectives on life. You know God’s truth, but you hate knowing it. God’s laws are bound to your mind, but you hate carrying it. The light is in you and can’t be put out; and so, faith still lives in you without quench. But you seek to veil it with the clouds of your desires. You’ve begun to believe the lie that your life was better when you were a sinner. Knowing that the spirit of the prophet is subject unto the prophet, you subject your God given wisdom to your desires and you pervert the easy demands of God. You find that it sets your mind a little bit free. The constant war you fought against lust in your mind has eased up. And so your flesh is set free. What you fail to realize however, is that none who is alive in spirit could desire such freedom with the flesh. If then your flesh is free, it is because you’ve fallen from your spiritual place. The light is in the temple because God is faithful, but you have looked away from it. Return your gaze to God and live again. For the mind set upon the flesh is death. But the mind set upon the Spirit is life and peace.
