Prospering Your Body And Soul

  • There’s someone who hates you but impersonates your mind. All the while they have you thinking it’s your own mind thinking certain things, feeling certain ways, but it isn’t. It’s them.

They run when your mind doesn’t, but they do it in your mind’s space — so that you couldn’t tell the difference. And then you who is ruler of your mind, might begin to feel like since your mind is racing, you have to join in — and when you join in, then your mind really joins in with you. Because your mind trusts you with the decisions! And you were just tricked by the usurper to accept an invitation to be agitated, to overthink, to be depressed, e.t.c... And when you’ve been tricked into following the usurping mind’s desires along with your mind, your body begins to follow your mind. It begins to clench up in fear, stress and anxiety. Learn to identify that mind. It requires mindfulness, and mindfulness isn’t easy. It’s like trying to take the steering wheel from someone who you’ve ignorantly allowed to drive your life all this while. Obviously they’ve grown too fond of it to just hand it over to you easy. You have to display your right to the steering wheel by recognizing your authority over your life.

Keep this in mind, your mind wouldn’t do things that would cause you to be uncomfortable. Once the mind begins to put you through uncomfortable situations, immediately identify it and deny it. It’s not yours! Don’t just move along with it. It’s always an invitation to follow an unhealthy mind into the destructive tendencies that it’s bound to; and because over time it has grown to be a first instinct of yours to accept every invite mindlessly, you may many times find it difficult to say no. Nevertheless, this is how you’d differentiate the holy and peaceful mind from the mind destined for destruction. If you do not differentiate, you’d accept all of its direction, thinking it’s your mind. Learn to say no! Ask yourself this: would you want to be afraid, agitated, depressed or anxious? No right? Well despite what you might have been told, your mind is your biggest fan — it’s your greatest supporter. Why then would it want you to feel these unfavorable things, when it suffers in these states with you. It is then you’d recognize an impersonating mind trying to trouble you and your holy mind. Ignore it if you can. Call it out and rebuke it if it’s being too persistent to be ignored. The impersonating mind is always shocked when it is identified. It loves to think itself a smooth operator; and some days it proves itself to be. You however must learn to leave the light on at all times by being mindful. Mindfulness is the security guard who stands to annul every activity of the destructive mind. You must be as mindful as the destructive mind is persistent. Failure to do this would give the destructive mind control again; and trust me, it always destroys what it controls. Don’t play with your life.

Guard the peace of Christ’s mind. And as you guard it, it shall itself guard you.
